JLA & Sons is a family-owned, union underground contractor. We carry the underground scope for prime contractors on IDOT, Illinois Tollway and City of Chicago work, with our own crews, equipment and trucks.

Our crews handle the underground scope on roadway, bridge, plaza and city water jobs, from excavation and shoring through pipe, structures, connections and backfill.

Coverage
Our yard is in Waukegan. We bid work within about an hour and twenty minutes of it, which covers ten northern Illinois counties. If a job sits a little outside that range and carries a good amount of underground, send it anyway and we’ll tell you right away whether we can price it.
